From singing cowboy stars of the 1930s to rock and country superstars of today, many of the most influential artists have chosen Gibson's SJ-200, the King of the Flattops. Today's True Vintage SJ-200 guitar from Gibson's TV series is modeled on the classic early-'50s, maple-bodied acoustic model.
This is probably one of the sweetest guitars I've ever played. It has an eerily haunting tone when softly finger picked but you can also lay down some frankly bright and amazing country riffs. Any chords you play on this guitar feel as solid as the guitar itself and blues scales just melt into the fretboard.

This is the second SJ-200 I've owned, the first was in the early 80's and was a classic sunburst finish. This one is the natural finish and is probably the greatest sound you will hear from a flattop guitar. It also has an excellent neck and is a joy to play. I've been playing for more than 50 years and have arthritis in my fingers, but I can play this box for hours without hurting. If you want a great sound and playability and can afford it, buy this box. You will NOT be disappointed.
