The Gibson Les Paul Swamp Ash Studio Electric Guitar has the warm tone and sustain of a traditional Les Paul with more punch. The satin natural finish reveals all the splendor of the carved, certified environmentally-sound swamp ash top and body. The rounded mahogany neck with rosewood fretboard plays silky smooth while 490R and 498T Alnico II humbuckers crank out bold leads and thick rhythm. Includes hardshell case.
The Gibson Les Paul Swamp Ash Studio is a great sounding guitar. Its got great tone. I use it with a Peavey Duece 120 watt tube amp and a Boss Overderive pedal with gauge 12-56 strings on it. My only complaint was i had to replace the selector switch, but that was covered under warranty. If you're into the classic rock like i am its a great guitar and it won't empty your wallet as much as other Gibsons.

This guitar can go from metal to blues in an instant. Its amazing ive tried other guitars such as esp deluxe les paul style but couldnt compare. The gibson explorer couldnt compare either. This guitar smokes all the others. This is a best buy. The pickups are amazing.

I would just like to comment on the Guitar Center staff in VA Beach. My LP SA kept buzzing on the G & A strings after several attempts at adjustments and replacing the strings. The staff at GC replaced the guitar with a new one and it works perfectly. Thank you GC.

I love this guitar! I am sure that there was a GC Las Vegas employee kicking himself for telling me to put down the Goldtop and give this one a try! Hahaha! I am still not crazy about the looks of this guitar, but the tone still satisfies, even after 2 years. Very comfortable neck, and the weight of this Les Paul is substantially less than a mahogany paul. Yet the sustain is fantastic, and that tone... Oh man!

I bought this guitar in GC San Francisco (on rebate) about 6 months ago, I am madly inlove with the excellent sound that comes out of this. The only complaint is that about 2 months after buying damp stains appeared on the wood so I had to send it to protect with a vertniz. Surely does not look as nice but the sound was not affected. I assume my problem was isolated because I have not seen other similar complaint.
