The arrival of the Gibson Les Paul Studio Electric Guitar in 1983 offered guitarists all the essential elements of a Les Paul Standard, including a carved top and humbucking pickups. Its simple yet elegant design quickly helped it become the most popular model in the Les Paul Series. Cutting-yet-rich tone- the hallmark of the Les Paul- pours out of the 490R and 498T Alnico 2 magnet humbucker pickups, which are mounted on a carved maple top with a mahogany back. Rosewood fretboard with trapezoid inlays makes for great looks while dual volume and tone controls provide complete command of your sound. The Les Paul Studio Electric Guitar includes a Gibson hardshell case.

ALL PAUL
This axe is the real deal. If you want Les Paul feel, playability, features, and tone, this is the one that won't break the bank. Mine arrived in excellent condition, not a thing wrong, and even a decent "everyman" set-up, which I proceeded to dial in to my taste. Great Canadian made black faux snakeskin hardshell. I've been playing guitar over 30 years, own 40+ guitars, and I find this Les Paul version VERY impressive.

Great Guitar
It's hard to believe I purchased this guitar almost 3 years ago. It still feels new although it has gotten even better as it has worn in. I have the Plus version with a AA top and gold hardware. I think the top is just as pretty as most Standards. The Modern Classics p/u's might not sound quite as vintage as Burst Buckers but they make up for it in versatility. Mine weighs 10lbs on the bathroom scale and has a fat 50's neck. When you strap it on, you know you're holding a mean machine. I love my Strat too, but I hardly play it since I've gotten the LP. If you only play jazz, classic rock or blues you might want to pay a little more fore a Standard. But if you play a wide variety of styles including metal, I suggest the Studio.

Amazing
i got this guitar a week ago and let me tell you it is amazing. i have been playing for so many more hours its so ahrd to put down. i have recently played a show wiht it and personally i dont think it is heavy at all, actualy it feels lighter than my srat. it is an amazing guitar and i can get great solos and riffs plus sweet harmonics. what more can you ask for?

AN ALMOST DIVINE PIECE OF WORK
I just started my music "career" and I only have about a year and a half worth of music experience. But let me assure you, that when I picked the Studio up, plugged it into my Blues Junior, and started playing...I could tell that this guitar was WAY more than its price tag.
Coming out of an overdriven tube amp, this guitar rocks the house! The tone and sustain it has is near magical, and the crunchful attack it has when rocking is powerful. The action was perfect, and despite what other people think...the weight is awesome. It may weigh more than most guitars, but LPs aren't supposed to be thrown around...show some respect! They are the mantle of true rock and roll.
The Gibson Les Paul studio is overall, the greatest and I guarantee you, will have no regrets in purchasing this! Just make sure to run it through a tube amp to achieve its divine tone.

Almost perfect
I have had my Gibson LP studio for about a year. I have played several other guitars and this is one the best i have ever played. The strings are pretty close to the fret board making it easy to hit the notes you want. The pick-ups are good but somtimes the sound can interfere with what you may want to play. All in all the Gibson LP Studio is a great guitar that anyone who buys one will use and love every day of their lives.
