  • THE Acoustic Guitar Sound

    Talk about the template for everything I was hoping for. You always take a chance when you order a guitar without hearing it, but this one did not dissapoint. Boomy, thick bass with good articulation, great grover tuners, transparent pickup system (especially great with an lr Baggs Mixpro), and the famous Gibson quality.

  • I switched from Martin to this J-45

    I have always always been a Martin fan. I have played them all but really love the small bodied finger picking tone machines from the pre-war period. That being said I came to realize that I would probably never be able to afford a real one. So I set out on a journey to find the best re-issue I could get my hands on. Let me preface this next part by saying that one of my best friends is a huge Gibson fan. He has some really nice J-180's & 200's from the 1950's and I have played all of them. I have always thought that the Gibson sound was a little to boomy for me. It's not that I dislike the tone. Some of the greatest recordings of all time were recorded on Gibson's from Everly Brothers to johny Cash. But it just isn't me. And that is exactly what I told my friend. About a month ago I saw this J-45 at the Palmdale Guitar Center. I only played it once and I knew. I kept trying to convince myself that it was the acoustics in the room playing tricks on my ears so I preceeded to play every Martin that they had.... bottom line... nothing came close.... I love this Guitar for its really well balanced tone, projection and superior harmonic depth. I would recommend this Guitar as, in my opinion, the best I have ever played. Sincerely, Rob Thomas

  • Awesome Guitar

    I have to say, I have played Martins, Blueridges, Taylors, and several other big name guitars and the J-45 has to be about the best I've ever played. The tone is just perfect, with a rich bass yet clear-crisp highs. This guitar is as close to perfect as you can get in my opinion.
