  • This is a GREAT Bird

As reviewed by NorCal Gibson Fan on 9/29/2006

If you are looking at this beautiful piece of art, you probably already know about its storied history. This is the one to have. No doubt, it is a lot of $$, but it is worth it. IT SOUNDS AMAZING. The new pickup in it makes it easy to play live & captures the great sound of this guitar. the touch on the neck is outstanding (I had the action lowered, but that is the only change I made), it feels great, looks great & makes you want to play. It is an inspiring instrument to play live with and to write with. It also looks a lot better in person than in pictures & looks great on stage. Everyone notices this guitar for its big warm sound & the way it looks. I heard that Keith Richards once said ?this is the only acoustic you will ever need? ? I?m not sure if he really said that, but it is true. It?s worth every dime. Buy it & love it.

  • A Guitar to Appreciate

As reviewed by Darren on 7/14/2008

I'm writing this review around the one year anniversary of purchasing a Hummingbird. I've played guitar for a little over 5 years now, and since the first song I've played, I always wanted my guitar to sound like the professionals. The Hummingbird has allowed me to do this. The chords that this guitar belts out are extremely crisp (and are getting more crisp with age), loud, and pleasing to the ears. The action is great, and it is fairly easy to play with medium strings. This instrument was a huge upgrade from a low budget Takamine, but worth the money; no regrets. A Hummingbird will last a lifetime, and it will never stop impressing me. I appreciate this guitar's quality, and the Hummingbird will always appreciate with time.
