NEW REVIEW - GIBSON!!!!!!

Amazing guitar sounds and plays like a dream i give it 4 stars because of the strap buttons there very small and i highly recomend getting strap locks because the first day i got this guitar the straps came of and it fell right to the floor and broke 2 of the tunning keys but to my suprise the 4 other strings were still in tune!!! (thats how you know its gibson) but i had a warrenty so its all good, but all in all very worth the money you get what you pay for.

Finally A GIbson that Costs Less Than My Car

Great guitar, and so affordable! I played this with my friend who has the original and they sound exactly the same. I love the pick ups and the neck feels great, plus it doesn't shine like a mirror. I have a few amps and I think this guitar sounds best through a Marshall. If you like the Flying V but are low on cash buy this guitar.

finally a gibson i can afford

I've been playing for almost six years now. when my birthday came and i was turning 13 i had a $500 limit, anything over that i had to pay myself. when i went online to research which one i wanted a gibson. i'd always liked gibsons, and i saw this one, mostly interested because of the low price.when i went to the store i played this guitar and the faded SG which was also on sale. when i played both i heard the sound was a bit distorted, but you can lower the pickups to fix that. it really boiled down to looks. obviously i chose the V over the SG because of the looks. i would recommend putting chrome pickup covers on the pickups, though, because it looks a bit cheesy otherwise.

First of all, the finish on this is drop-dead gorgeous, and durable as well. The fingerboard is nice and wide, and for somebody like myself with thick fingers, it is easy to do open chords without accidentally damping strings. The tone is thick, natural, and resonant, and almost any tone can be coaxed out of this. Finally, despite its mass, it balances nicely. It CAN be played sitting down, if you elevate your left foot classical-style. Easily the best bargain on a guitar anywhere.

Very Merry Christmas

For Christmas I got a Faded Gibson Playing V. It is an excellent guitar, the feel of the neck is wonderful, and it looks great too. For less then 600 bucks, this guitar is perfect. I have played everything from Metallica to Alan Jackson on it and everything has sounded wondeful.
