The classic Gibson with dazzling organic looks.

A beautiful golden amber finish on a AAA flamed maple back, sides, and neck and spruce top make the Gibson F-"Goldrush" a very distinctive mandolin. Multiple binding on the top and fingerboard combines with the precision abalone fern headstock inlay, hand-engraved gold hardware, and the classic F-5 design to create truly stunning visual appeal. Tap tuned with a brilliant and singing chop, the handcrafted Goldrush is bold enough to be heard over larger instruments and sweet enough to stand alone.

Bluegrass Girl Loves It

I got my Goldrush back in January, and I love it. It has the sweetest sound I've ever heard, and a great chop! It has some really good, strong earthy tones, too. And it can get loud enough to be heard over numerous musicians at bluegrass jams. I get compliments from everybody who sees it. The flame maple is beautiful too. I have large hands for a gal, and I think the frets are absolutely perfect. The triple bindings are cool-looking, too, and I can't say enough about the abalone, with shades of pink, green and blue. I can't wait to get back to playing it right now! It really stands out in a crowd, too, because of the color. So if you want to blend in, don't get this one. People are gonna expect a lot out of you, playing something like this. We be jammin! Kim Roulias -- Garland, Texas

SUCKS

I ordered this mandolin a while back and it was TERRIBLE. The frets are far too big for a mandolin player of my stature, and the sound quality was horrible! I'm used to playing 16 string mandolins so, this was not what I expected when I bought it. It weighs far too much also, and i have a cut from where my strap ripped into my skin...I highly DO NOT reccomend buying this for all you guys looking at it.
