MY Favorite Weapon

You can get the sweetest tones out from a Gibson explorer. I have been using this baby for 5 years and it is my favorite guitar by far. The clean is very nice when switching to bridge pick up. When you kick in that crunch pedal, all hell will break loose. Play all your favorite metal/rock riffs and rip your neighbor's ears off! The feel of this guitar is what I cannot get over. The paint finish is very smooth making the neck for easy sliding. The fret is made with precision and it is everything you expect from a Gibson. This is a great guitar.

Good Guitar

I recently bought this guitar from guitar center and I couldnt be more pleased with it. The pinch harmonics that come out of this guitar are amazing! I run it through a marshall cab and crate head and it is the perfect match. This guitar is very versatile it sounds great with metal or jazz. The neck finish perfectly matches the body. The cherry finish is breath taking. I like everything about this guitar.

I wan't an Explorer!

I purchased my first Gibson Explorer in 1978, It was a natural mahogany with gold hardware. It playede everything from Blues to Jazz to Heavy Metal. Stayed in tune always and NEVER let me down. Due to unfortunate circumstances we parted ways. I recently test drove a brand new explorer at GC here in Chicago and let me say that is is every bit as nice as my 78. I plan to purchase one as soon as tax returns come in. Clayton

Best guitar ever!

The Gibson Explorer is the most durable, coolest looking, and great playing guitars. If u think its heavy, go to the gym. This guitar is awsome for thrash metal and hard rock. And is great with everything else.

X-plorer

It was either this or the SG, but i like the explorer more because of the sound and the balance. The neck doesnt hang low like my BC Rich which is awesome and i dont have to tune very often. Stock pickups are pretty good and i love how durable it is. I've already banged it on the wall a couple times on accident and so far nothing chip or scratched unlike my BC Rich. You should buy this guitar now or your not considered a human being!!!
