Overview

The Gibson Custom Shop took a historically accurate Les Paul Special Double Cut then dressed it up with a pearloid pickguard and truss rod cover to highlight the custom high-gloss Cardinal Red finish, an original '60s Custom Shop color. The result is a double-cut Special that-could-have-been, and one any guitarist would be stoked to own today.

The one-piece mahogany neck and solid mahogany body combine with muscular P-90 single coil pickups to bring sparkling, vintage tone ringing out through your amp. A comfortable '60s slim-taper neck profile and rosewood fretboard are perfectly playable for chunky chords or rippin' leads. All the hardware and wiring is set up to the vintage specs as well.
