Gibson 68 Custom

By MGB

from Scottsdale Az

After trying out many many different model at my local guitar center I now have one...WOW... I have owned a Studio,Standard, and a Traditional-but the look alone of this custom- this thing is King!!! yes- It is -heavy-but its a Custon Les Paul!!! sustain for days, pure thick Gibson sound, the neck is thick-but not to much- ebony board is silk smooth on your finger tips,Tri-burst color is a pure work of art to look at,-not to mention the sound!!-bridge p/u has thick full sound and the neck p/u is great for blues solos so warm sounding- The body has full binding, split diamond on the headstock block inlays Beautiful- my TRUE dream guitar- thank you guitar center!! I know these are more expensive but it is a lifetime investment- and worth every penny !

My Favorite

By Wes Maddox

from Oceanside, California

I had a sunburst model, I loved everything about it. The 57 Classics are so sweet and sugury. Sustain is for days, thanks to the long neck tennon and the old style bridge. The guitar was beautiful to look at. Out of 7 Les Paul's that I have owned this one was my favorite sounding one. The reason I give it 4 instead of 5 stars is I would love this guitar with the early 50's style fatter neck and the antique natural finish. It would be like having a 57 with a flamed top and wax potted pickup's.(the dream guitar of all times). The spec's for this guitar haven't been listed yet. But if it has the fat neck I would buy it.
