A golden combination of wood and hardware with BurstBucker pickups.
The Gibson Custom SG Custom Two Pickup Electric Guitar with Rosewood Fingerboard offers the player a rare combination of color and sound. The SG had a futuristic design when it was introduced in 1960, and it still has a modern look today.
Featuring an ultra-thin, two-horned body, the SG series addressed two of what Ted McCarty saw as the major issues of the now-retired Les Paul body style: weight and limited access to the upper treble register. The new body shape of the SG Standard was dramatically lighter than the old Les Paul and offered access to the entire fretboard.
This SG Custom has a mahogany body with a set neck and BurstBucker 1 and 2 pickups for incredible tone. Gold hardware is used throughout including the pickups, the set of Grover tuners and even the pickguard screws. White binding, a white 2-ply pickguard and mother-of-pearl block fretboard inlays compliment the lustrous gold finish of this exquisite guitar.
