The Gibson Custom Shop has re-created the guitar that Peter Frampton played on his multiplatinum live album from 1976. Distinctive features include a mahogany back with weight-relief chambers, the Peter Frampton custom slim neck profile, and three Gibson humbuckers: '57 Classic (neck), '57 Classic Plus (middle), and 500T (bridge). The 3-way pickup selector is wired so the middle pickup is always on (with its own volume and tone) and can be combined with the front or rear pickups. Top-level Les Paul Custom features include the ebony finish, 22-fret Richlite fingerboard with pearl block inlays, single-ply white binding on top and back, kidney bean tuners, and gold hardware.

Being a Frampton fan, when I first laid eyes on this guitar I had to have. When I bought it, I was very pleased. The overall tone is beautifull. It has a fat, mellow tone for blues and a surprising bit of crunch for rock. The only downside is the price. If you can dish out the money, I highly recomend this great guitar.
i love the customs and really like the triple pickup ones the only thing with gibson is the price. you can buy a good fender without making you bankrupt. if they cost so much i would get a million of them
I really liked this guitar and that had little to do with Pete Frampton. The guitar was not so flexible as I expected. What you gained from the extra pick-up, you lost from the space the pup requires. This seems to be a rich guys guitar. A player would not really want some other guy's name on his guitar and only the rich can afford to buy this thing. I am not against being rich but I have guitars that were easier to play for less.
This does not strike me as anything but an up priced LP Custom.
the features were okay and the feel was just okay and it weighed a ton. I cannot say anything for the reliability. Probably a guy owning this guitar has a roadie and guitar tech hanging at his mansion.
Downside: no locking tuners, no split-coils or Floyd Rose tremolo and I really like the Bust-busters much better than the 57 classic and the 500T pup's. everything else is a Black Beauty LP
