Es-335
I played this guitar for awhile at guitar center plugged into a Fender Princeton amp and tried it on a bunch of settings and it never dissapointed...i started out strumming a few clean chords and it sustains so nicely...then i cranked the distortion up and played some Crossroads, Johhny B Goode and, even played some 90's Candlebox solos which were the best sounding
the people that say this is no good cranked up need to listen to some Cream or BB

Good chioce for a budget Gibson
I bought mine in autumn of 2005. This guitar delivers some fine tones, playability and responsiveness and is affordable. Love the tone and versatility for jazz, rock and a lot in between. One beef I have is the cheap tuners that come with this unit. Had a difficult time tuning it then getting it to hold. This improved considerably with a set of Grovers.

I friggin love it
I played every high end Gibson, PRS, and Fender imaginable. After months of trying to decide what I wanted to get for my first major guitar purchase I was set on a Les Paul Standard until I saw a sales associate put this guitar on the wall. I never played one of these before so I said what the hell. I plugged it in and fell in love in a matter of seconds. The sound, the look, the feel. All fantastic. To me it blows away even higher end Gibsons and PRS's. The only thing that is really bad about it is that I can't decide what guitar to buy next because nothing stacks up to it!
Somethings that purchasers should think about:
-You might need to adjust to the fatter body of the guitar when playing sitting down. In the beginning my arm was killing me from the position it had to be in to play.
-The neck is kind of small width wise. I have big hands and love it, but for some people with bigger hands it might be a bother.
-The one and only thing that did disappoint me was the pick markings on the body from playing. I don't play that hard but you can see it in the finish where I may have dragged the pick over it. For a guitar that came to $2100 I would think that wouldn't and shouldn't happen. it's teh only reason I gave it less than a 5 in QUALITY. If you don't mind that at all then go for it. You won't be disappointed.

best value
I've owned a lot but this has got to be the best for the money. The few flaws were the F hole black residue that come off one your hands. AND the cheap looking faux rope handle on the case. Come on plastic rope for a handle? Otherwise!! Great sound, and smooth action (after I tweaked it a bit). I play blues, 60's rock, and country. This one fills the need. I still like the twang a fender gives me, but for everything else electric the 335 is it.
