  • Killer 335

    Ordered mine to celebrate my 50th birthday. Received it two weeks ago. It is absolutely gorgeous craftsmanship, the woodgrain shows clearly through a deep, rich mahogany-red stain. The binding and nut are yellow-aged and gives the guitar a real vintage vibe. Could not find a single flaw anywhere cosmetically. Only detraction on aesthetics is the pickguard. The beveled edges are stark white which sticks out like a sore thumb with all other "whites" being aged yellow. I can fix this with a little wood stain i am guessing. As i have read with other Custom shop reviews, the setup was marginal on mine, too. Needed to have the GC tech adjust the truss rod to eliminate some buzzing and dead fretting in center of neck range, and then had to raise the bridge slightly as the high E was fretting out during 1-2 step bends. Once these minor adjustments were made, it plays like butter and has incredible tonal range. The tone and volume pots are high quality and adjustable. I am playing through a Two Rock StudioPro 35 with 2x12 cab. The 8-10 range of the volume pots sends the amp into sweet singing sustain on most but the cleanest of settings. I was leary of the Burstbuckers since I am a real classic rock and blues guy and everything i read said the bbuckers were hotter compared to 57 classics. I have found that i really like them, i can get great tones from them ala Allman Bros, Knopfler, CSNY, Who, and Zep. Been playing Since Ive Been Loving You til my fingers are sore. I have been playing for nearly 40 yrs and have owned many nice guitars, but this one will be a guitar that only gets better with age. Makes you want to sit and play to the point where you lose all track of time - it is addictive. Bottom line, it exceeds my expectations, and is well worth the money. Cant wait til i turn 60.

  • Gibson ES 335 - High Five!!!

    What an luscious lovely lady! From her head, down her long neck to her curvy body, she is all what you have dreamed of her to be! This axe will talk back when you give her a good spanking! The pickups define your pick attack precisely and she will sing with sustain, when you crank her through a Fender Vibrolux or Super Reverb! Now I know why BB King played on a 335 for so long! I soon hope to own this marvelous axe!

  • i love this guitar

    I love this guitar. THis was just the guitar i needed. It is so sweet and so versitle. When i first played this guitar i just fell in love, becouse i love blues, jazz, folk, and rock n roll, and this guitar does it all perfect for most styles of music and especially blues and jazz becouse i never thought there would would be a guitar that can go from blues to jazz to a full on groovy rock jam sension.
