The most accurate reissue series Gibson's Custom Shop has ever produced!

AA flamed maple top is exactly the kind of wood that went on the Les Pauls in '59. Burstbucker 1 and 2 pickups are precision re-creations of original "Patent Applied For" pickups, right down to the mismatched windings. Original bumblebee capacitors, long-tenon 1959 rounded neck profile, CTS pots, original aluminum stopbar, and tons of other details make it look, sound, and play identically to the original. Mahogany back and neck with rosewood fretboard.

Gibson Custom 1959 Les Paul Standard Electric Guitar Features:

  • Carved maple top
  • Solid mahogany back
  • One-piece mahogany neck with original-style truss rod routing and 1959 rounded neck profile
  • 22-fret rosewood fretboard with historically accurate trapezoid inlays
  • Burstbucker 1 (rhythm) and 2 (treble) pickups
  • CTS pots and bumblebee capacitors

God of Guitars!

This is the greatest guitar ever made by Gibson. It has the fastest action and the craziest sound from those pickups. Gibson really has outdone themselves with this beast. It is the same one that Jimmy Page used with Zeppelin. It may be heavy and a bit pricey but this guitar is amazing. I have never played something so awesome. If you come up with the money dont hesitate to buy this. You wont regret anything.

The Gibson "Rembrandt\

I just upgraded from the Les Paul 60's Classic Standard to this magnificent instrument. I am not a very fine player by any means, but I now own the axe that can get me there. The wood, hardware and electronics all meld into a synthesis of sound and art. Plug into a Marshall 1974x or JCM800 head and you've created a velvet hammer. The action impresses me most. There is no peer in this price range.
