The Les Paul Custom VOS re-creates the Les Paul Custom as it was at a pivotal moment in its history—the year when the PAF humbuckers became standard issue. These remarkable new pickups gave the Les Paul a thicker sound that was at the time especially unique.

Like all VOS (Vintage Original Spec) Series instruments, the 1957 Les Paul Custom VOS is handcrafted for comfort and playability in the Gibson Custom Shop. The construction, neck profile, hardware, and electronics are period accurate, and a special nitrocellulose finish treatment gives it the patina of a gently aged vintage guitar.   • Greatest Guitar EVER!

    When I first laid eyes on this beautiful creation, it was love at first sight. When I first held it and played it, I knew I had to have it. This guitar has a tone straight from God. The way it sounds, plays, feels.. It is impossible to describe and do justice. Get this guitar if you are on the fence.

    Pictures on guitarcenter.com do not do the guitar justice whatsoever. It is the most beautiful instrument I have ever laid my eyes on. It plays like a dream. Neck is super fast, pickups have incredible tone. Sustain is amazing, solid mahogony body is superb. Great instrument. Best i have ever owned, played, or laid my eyes upon.

    This is the most amazing guitar ever!!! When I first saw was in the vintage room at guitar center and when i immediately walked in I fell in love! I had to ask immediately to the staff so I could try it. This guitar is heavy, but that was irrelevant. I held it and knew it fit me just right. I plugged it in and the cleanliness of it was amazing!!!!! I put some distortion on it and it gave the best response, so much sustain and so much beauty that it didn't matter at all what settings the amp was on, it sounded too good for a earthly thing! But we warned, no two of the Les Pauls, doesn't matter if it is the same model and color and specs, no two will never sound just alike so you basically have to compare and choose. There were two there that day and i tried both but the other didn't have the same beauty or greatness of the one i bought, at least in my opinion. I have tried so many other guitars after this one and i haven't found nor felt the same thing as this guitar. Truly my baby. Oh, and by the way, it is a great guitar for almost any style of music. Being a musician who plays many different styles, it fits all of them by looks and sound. Yes, its expensive, but yes, its great!
