The hot looks and tone of the legendary SJ200 with a smaller body style.

With a small body and comfortable 24-3/4" scale, The Gibson CJ-165 Maple Acoustic-Electric Guitar is designed to rest comfortably on the knee of even diminutive players, but it gives up nothing in the way of tone. The solid premium Sitka spruce top belts out full-bodied resonance that's sharpened up by the gorgeous AAA maple back and sides. 4-ply top binding, a bound rosewood fretboard with mother-of-pearl split parallelogram inlays, abalone rosette, and mother-of-pearl headstock inlays provide cosmetic beauty. Fishman Aura Pro electronics with tuner ensure great plugged-in tone.Check the drop-down menu to the right to select colors and/or other options.

This guitar is my #1 out of my 11 guitars. The tone is to die for! I played many acoustic guitars before i bought this one and none of them can compare to the rich tone of this gibson. The body is great because it is small but has huge tone. The craftsmanship is very good, but the one i got had a small spot of circular scratches. Nothing too big so i just view it as a beauty mark. Overall this guitar looks, and feels great! If you are thinking about it...get it! you won't regret it.

I have the rosewood model of this guitar with the full body (no cutaway). I've been playing guitar--both acoustic and electric for more than 40 years and have owned a large number of guitars throughout my life. I recently purchased this guitar through Guitar Center--it was a used model, in excellent condition, but with a single serious 1-inch gouge on the front, which I've since had repaired and is now basically unnoticeable. Hands down, this is simply the best all-around acoustic I've ever owned. The tone is crystalline, the sheer "playability" is unbeatable and the feel is amazing. It's an incredibly responsive guitar that has great dynamics and responds beautifully to many styles, but most especially finger-style. I play blues and folk, and this guitar is absolutely the best ever I've owned for both those styles. It holds tone really well, even when capo-ed up on the 7th fret. This is a guitar that really does sound like so many guitars on classic acoustic guitar tracks (Beatles, James Taylor, Paul Simon). The bass is full and distinct, the middle is rich and the highs are simply gorgeous. Get this guitar--you won't regret it.
