The Gibson BurstBucker Pro Pickup enhances the vintage "edge" of Gibson's popular BurstBucker guitar pickups with the added feature of an Alnico 5 magnet.
I bought this pickup in hopes of being amazed.. i was blown away! the warm and full driven tone is outstanding through my HRD. I thought at first even through my amp it would sound muddy, but boy was i wrong! all in all it sounds great! it pushes as hard as i want it to when playing at high gain and then quiets to hear lows and mids that you can only acheive with a high end guitar. This pickup made my VERY low end Epiphone sounds like and high end Gibson. I love the burstbucker pro.

I put this into my Epiphone Les Paul Custom. I replaced the Old one because the Potting had come loose on my Bridge Pickup and I started getting feedback. These are very well shielded versus the one that was in my Epiphone. As far as tone goes it is excellent. I would not agree that it is vastly upgraded from the Epiphone Pickup I had. I have 2 Epiphone Les Paul Customs so I can switch back and forth to see the difference. I would say this pickup is definitely better than the Stock Epiphone Pickup, but only slightly better in Tone (In my Opinion). The Shielding is a lot better, although I never had much Noise Problems before.

Got a set of these for my fairly inexpensive Epiphone Korina Flying V and it turned a good looing guitar into a instrument that not only looks good but sounds great. I would put it up against any Gibson out there, sound for sound.
