The Gibson 1959 ES-225 Historic Semi-Hollow Electric Guitar has a special place in history. Made for only a few years between 1955 and 1959, it was marketed as Gibson's first thinline hollowbody with a depth of 1-7/8". It sports some cool features, most notable of which is the Les Paul bridge and tailpiece combination that offers a surprising degree of adjustment for both action and intonation. Other historically accurate features not mentioned in specs below include a nylon nut, hot hide glue neck joint and under-wound pickups for authentic vintage tone. Perfect for jazz and blues, the 1959 ES-225 is 100% American made and includes a nice hardshell case.
