I purchased one of these racks a couple of years ago, and I am here to tell you that it is terrible. The clamps do not clamp tight enough to keep you toms from moving on you. While your playing the toms keep getting lover and lower. I tried putting some Abraisive type tape on the bar, thinking that would do the trick. Yea Right? I got rid of it and bought the Pearl icon drum rack. IT IS AWESOME. Don't waste your money or your time on this product.
Because I've had this rack for roughly 3-4 years now and I have yet to encounter any problems with it. I have 4 toms on my kit from 10"-14" and several cymbals mounted to it with no issues at all. I will say that if you attempt to mount more than one tom to a clamp on the rack they do tend to slip because it's just simply too much weight anyway, but that's not a huge issue. All in all this rack is wonderful, I actually look forward to setting up my drums because of this rack.
