I highly recommend!

By mikeylikesdrums

from Bear, DE

Aside from the Danmar Metal Kick, I've never really liked a kick pad. I bought a pack of these on a whim at my local music store because I need something for my practice kit at home, these were cheap, and there is 4 of them. (I find the danmar metal kick can be a little over bearing when practicing alone at home, but with a band, its the best hands down!) Anywho, I slapped this on my bass drum head and I really like it! It produces a nice, fat, almost "wet" tone. I'm using a Pearl Quad Beater with the flat plastic side and Im getting just enough click and a whole lotta punch. Ive only used it for a few hours so I can't comment on the adhesive peeling up, but hey, they give you 4 of them! This is a steal, in my opinion. Also, Im playing double bass on the single kick pad. The single pad is plenty big enough for my two Pearl Quad beaters. Out of the other similar pads I've tried (Remo Falam, Aquarian super kick pad), this is by far the best. But, if you play hard rock or metal and you're looking for a lot of click and cut, you're better off going with the Danmar Metal Kick, Danmar Power Disc, or Gibraltar Click Pad.

NOT GOOD! AT ALL

By A------------------ O---------------

from Miami

i recieved this about 4 months ago. it worked well for around 2 weeks. the adhesive on the back of it is very weak and it will slip down easily under heavy bass playing. the most dissapointing part of this product was the fact that it will peel up after a few weeks around the edges. this was VERY DISSAPOINTING.
