  It is a good product however mine didn't have the slight ridge running up the center so they don't match the one I already had. I also had to slightly enlarge the bottom hole of the floor tom to get them to fit. The good thing about these is I'll never have to replace them again because they cannot strip like the factory Pearl hardware!!! But if your drums need to be roadworthy for numerous setup and teardown you need these!! Four stars are given because they were smooth instead of having a ridge.

• Replacing my original Tama Floor Tom Brackets

  I looked all around the web searching for new Floor Tom Brackets to replace mine on an old Tama Rockstar, and came across these. I replaced all three brackets so matching the original ones were not an issue. As the other reviewer said they do NOT come with the ridge in the middle like the photo on this site shows. The brackets fit perfect on my Tama, the screw holes lined up perfectly, and I liked the rubber between the drum shell and the bracket. The brackets came with the screws, and with larger washers then the original brackets. What the photo doesn't show is how the brackets hold the legs. How it works is the leg slides into the bracket{shown} but inside the bracket on the opposite side of the wing bolt the leg slides into another hole that's attached to that wing bolt, and goes thru the other end of the bracket. So when you tighten the wing bolt it pulls the leg into the outside of the bracket. How my original Tama bracket worked is when you tightened the wing bolt the end of the bolt tightened up against the leg. I had to tighten the wing bolts so tight to get the legs to stay in one place that it fractured, and separated the metal around the wing bolt. I would have thought the bolt threads or the threads on the bracket would have stripped before that would have happened. Hopefully these brackets will not fail, they should last along time, because with this design it doesn't seem necessary to tighten the wing bolts as much as I had to before. The price was right.

• Gibraltar SC-TL2 Tom/Floor Tom-Leg Bracket

  I found these brackets to hold bettr and stay tight. My legs fit nicely with no modification. Be sure to check the diameter of the tom legs! I'm confident I won't end up crushing this one while trying to get the thing tight! The only drawback is the same that was mentioned in a previous review. The center ridge is missing from the SC-TL2 and doesn't match the ones I had. Not crucial and most won't notice, but the photo example should be updated. Jas
