Great Drum Rack!!!

This is an Amazing drum rack I bought this off my friend for 100$ so that makes it a steal and it works great it only comes with two cymbal stands but 4 clams so that means for your ride insted of using a stand you can take the base off one of your cymbal stand and put it in the clamp its a great drum rack I totally recomend it to anyone and i dont agree that it is a bignner rack it it perfect for anyone!!!

Cleans up for you!

When I purchased my 6 piece Gretsch Catalina Birch Kit last winter, I wasn't sure that I would have the room to set it up with all of my cymbals (2 crashes, a ride, a splash, a china, and hats) I was pretty skeptical about racks after reading a few articles about them slipping and being difficult to set up. When the salesman suggested this rack starter kit, I was not sure. I decided to get it because I already used Gibralter hardware that I loved. When I got home I took out the tubes and at first it was a bit confusing but I got it up in a matter of minutes with the help of a friend. I started mounting my cymbals and realized how graet of a purchase this really was. I also attempted to mount the rack toms on th rack and was succesful but I dont reccomend it because they jiggle alot. I went back to mounting them on the kick drum. The 6th 8" tom is mounted on the left wing and its fine because of the small size of the drum. The fact that I have no stands on the floor rally cleans up my music room and when my band comes over to practice, there is more room for amps and wires. I love my gibralter rack!

great rack

I got this rack about 2 years ago, and it was perfect, it really made my drums look more professional. I now own a double kit set so i bought an extension so now its a double bass rack.. but this rack is perfect for starters, it makes the room look clean and makes ur kit look even more professional than with all those stands.

Gibraltar Starter rack WOW

I've been playing since grade school and always had the typical stands and hardware. We got a gig in a bar that's working out great for us but the stage is small. After 2 times playing there I decided it was time to give a rack another look. My local Guitar Center had this rack set up on their floor and the more I looked at it, walked around it, sat behind it...well, it was a no brainer. I bought it that day! The first time I set it up on stage, the guys were REALLY happy with my purchase, not just because of the space issue, but because it added so much to our overall appearance! It looks COOL! My old hardware was double braced and heavy, but beat up. I LOVE this rack. Quick and easy to set up, always the same positions using the memory locks, heavy duty, EASY to add additional mounts, just overall an impressive rig! I'm too traditional...I should've bought one years ago!

Very nice Rack for the Price

I got this Gibraltar rack when it was on sale. It was definitely worth the sale price and it helped clean up my stands. Pros: The tubing is thick - 1.5". Gibraltar clamps are very affordable. Setup is quick and only takes one person. This Starter pack, comes with everything you need to setup and mount toms and cymbals (except tom arms!) This rack makes your setup look so much cleaner without all the stand clutter. Slipping is prevented by the use of Hinged memory locks (1 included per clamp). Cons: The tubing can be dented by the clamps if you are not careful. Most Gibraltar clamps are hard plastic, not metal; so they have the potential to break more easily. If you mount your toms on the rack, be ready for some jiggle! Also, mounting on the side wings is limited to a few lightweight items, because the wings tend to sag with more weight. In order to prevent slipping, you need to have the hinged memory lock (extra purchase when buying additional clamps). I am willing to overlook the cons for this great rack. If I had the money, I would definitely buy Pearl's ICON rack because of the square tubing and metal clamps, but Gibraltar's Curved Starter Pack works well enough for me.
