Perfect for mounting splash, small effect cymbals or bar chimes. 10" vertical shaft with 14" horizontal shaft long enough to position small cymbals but short enough to stay out of the way. Smooth cymbal arm. 7/8"-diameter shaft.
I purchased the Gibraltar mini boom originally to mount a 12" splash on. After a couple of months of using it for the splash I purchased a rack for my drums. I then had to use it for a 16" thin crash and let me tell you.....it has not moved an INCH with either cymbal. This is very well built to mount splashes and even smaller crashes on, as a matter of fact I'm about to purchase another one!!

I've been experimenting with different boom arms to mount on my rack. These little guys do a great job for the price. I have pretty much all of the boom arms available. from pearl to gibraltar to tama. One thing you might consider (if you are like me, and use a rack for some gigs and stands for a smaller setup.) Try out the Pacific P/D 700 stands. Take the bottom section of the stand off, and it will fit in pearl rack mounts.

I bought this arm because I was looking for a low priced arm to hold my splash on my rack. This arm is perfect! It is low profile so you can still have crashes around the arm, and still have room for the crashes to move around! Perfect for a drumer like me if you have 6 cymbals like I do!
