Loved the light. the screws needed tighten to hold it in place. would hope to be able to find a 3-way bulb for it. I would suggest this for anyone needing light for the music stand.
From some reason, the first review I wrote did not come up. I hope GuitarCenter is not behind it. Any way, this is a very good light, only down side for me, is that it comes without a bulb. Either way, you can get really cheap bulb, and very bright, in whole sellers (I got mine at national liquidators), for about 3 bucks, I got a box of 4! From reading other's reviews I was worried about the weight of the bulb enclosure, but I assure you, it is not falling down. There is a screw you may want to tighten up, exactly for this cause.
the down side according to the reviews I read was that it was not strong enough to hold the bulb housing. This is just not correct. There is s screw you need to tighten up, one time. So far, no problem. The real down size, is that it comes without a bulb. This is just wrong. However, I wouldn't buy any replacement bulb, which is expensive, and not as strong. I bought for 3 bucks bulbs from national liquidators set of 4, which is strong and bright.
Luckily I had this odd bulb on hand (40 watt Tube Bulb). It's supoosed to take a 20/25/40 watt Bulb. I guess it's a 3-way bulb, but hard to find it anywhere. It also takes a 15 watt regular light bulb, easier to find. It needs rubber on the clip part, as it is going to scratch my brand new stand. It came with a tiny piece of rubber on the back side of the clip that was already cracked in half on arrival and has since fallen off on the 2nd time it was clipped on the stand. I adjusted the tightness of the shade to allow the swivel to reach the position I wanted and to hold it in place. This whole mechanism could be a lot better design.
