  • These Cables Rock!

As reviewed by JT on 6/24/2010

After reading many reviews and comparing the available cables for my pedalboard, I decide to go with the George L's. The price was not attractive, but the product is. I did an A/B comparison with my existing patch cables, and to my ear the "L's" sound fuller and crisper; no scientific or lengthy tests done however. The only real thing that I didn't like was that the directions were pretty lame and ambiguous. Even looking on line didn't help much. I finally figured it out, and everything worked perfectly the first time hooking it up. Don't hear any noise either. Would have been nice to have a cutter in the package, but no big deal.

  • Best kit out there

As reviewed by Nick on 6/29/2011

After some A/B comparisons between different cables, I'm not really convinced that my tone changes that much with different brands. Having said that, this kit is still worth it. The smaller diameter cable and low-profile plugs fit on my board much better than regular cable and plugs. These were also very easy to set up the first time I did it, though I had trouble getting them working when I had to redo some of them after swapping out some pedals. Turns out I just hadn't pushed the cable far enough into the plug - not sure why it only happened the second time, but lesson learned. Yes, these are a little expensive, but they make my board so much nicer that I can't really take issue with the price.

  • Unreliable

As reviewed by Mack Truck on 4/25/2011

I had them George L's cable for about 2 years and all I can say is that they are so unreliable. Every 2 months or so a cable goes weird-that goes from changing the tone to no signal at all. And no matter what I do, this problems always come back. I checked online and obviously I am not the only one with that problem. No I have to rewire my board with regular (solder) plugs-what a waste of $.
