The MS-USB is a versatile, all-in-one portable sound system with a USB memory port and SD card slot, making it easier than ever to play media directly from a USB storage device or SD card. With impressive power, flexible connections and comprehensive features, the MS-USB offers a great sounding, highly portable PA solution for a wide range of applications.
Superior sound anywhere you need it.
Ideal for outdoor events, mobile musicians, fitness instructors and anyone else who needs a premium, lightweight speaker system, the MS-USB boasts a high-quality built-in amplifier, which provides 100 watts of Peak power (50 watts RMS) to its enclosed 5-inch woofer and 1-inch tweeter. And to ensure seamless performance wherever and whenever you need it, the MS-USB provides up to twelve hours of continuous operation from its ultra-efficient rechargeable battery.
Unique features for bold performance.
In addition to its convenient playback options for USB and SD memory devices, the MS-USB includes an LCD screen that displays your track and folder information, while a rotary Search knob allows you to easily navigate through the files on your thumb drives and memory cards. Whereas other portable PA systems only let you plug in a memory device and hit play, the MS-USB's player interface actually gives you the power to scroll through your tracks and fully control your music.
Additional playback tools like Cue, Reverse, Pitch Bend and Pitch Control give you even more customizable command, while a Loop Section enables you to repeat a specific section of a song or create a recurring message, making it ideal for band directors trying to drill a particular passage or employees on a tradeshow booth looking to repeat an informative message.
Mobile media in its most accessible form.
USB drives and SD cards are convenient, inexpensive ways to take your music with you. Portable media players can be pricey, so it's frustrating when one gets lost or broken. Not to mention, most schools and businesses don't have a surplus of spare media players just lying around. Compatibility with USB and SD memory devices ensures that the MS-USB will accept the most accessible and economical form of portable media. And anyone can bring their own drives or cards for an interchangeable music experience. Of course, you can also use the stereo RCA input and an RCA cable to connect an external MP3 or CD player if you prefer.
Be distinct¦ with your voice and your music.
For greater versatility, the MS-USB houses a balanced microphone input with gain control. A dynamic microphone is also included, making it a valuable tool for speeches, meetings, assemblies, tradeshows, parties and outdoor gatherings. The MS-USB can also be used with wireless microphones, so fitness instructors can lead high-energy workout sessions while incorporating their choice of background music. Plus, the MS-USBs ¼-inch line input allows you to plug in an instrument, like a guitar or keyboard, and play along with backing tracks, offering singer-songwriters a great solution for gigs at small venues or spontaneous jam sessions.
Mobile. Versatile. Intuitive.
Thanks to durable casters, a telescoping handle and a weight of only 28 pounds, the MS-USB is a breeze to transport from one event or gig to the next. Theres even a Link Output that lets you daisy chain multiple units together for stereo and surround operations, while a pole mount receptacle offers flexible positioning options. And with quick, simple setup, as well as intuitive controls, the MS-USB is easy for anyone to use.
With outstanding convenience, professional sound quality and versatile features, the MS-USB provides a reliable and portable single system solution for a broad range of PA and media playing applications.

So, I got this after having another outfit's portable PA system fail (DOA on arrival - appeared used/reboxed) and so gave up and ordered this one as there was the storefront to help manage it with Guitar Center. I also wanted that USB (non-proprietary iOS based phone dock that btw is now on the way out with the iPhone5 and soon to be new iPads/Pods) so I went with this (3 keynotes) 1. Wont detect anything in the USB port except a dumb plain 2.0 based mem stick (let's step back to 2001 why dont we) 2. The included mic is worthless, might as well stick your hands over your mouth (and it's corded... really? the other came with two wireless and they were actually somewhat loud enough to be considered amplifying a voice). Used a good mic provided at the site we used it first at and it was much louder so it's as much the Mic they provide as it is the weak power output 3. no input for modern devices to jack into for audio in except for archaeic s-audio so a $10 Y-cross cable to 1/8" microphone cable had to be bought from Altec (fry's like) store to feed my laptop/smartphones music in. It's not bad, but if they'd left the price at $249 and closed those gaps by providing better input methods and accessories everyone would be willing to pay for it and it would be worth it... heck go up to $299 and actually put in some extra wattage/ampage to drive it louder.
