• Great Sub for the Price

  Bought this sub online and it was delivered in less than a week. At first I thought it sounded a little quiet, but I realized my laptop alone wasn't a loud enough source! I hooked it up with my system that weekend, powered 15 inch speakers, mixer, turntables and laptop, and BOOM!! The venue owner actually asked me to turn the bass down a few times! Hit very hard, clean bass with little to no distortion. I will be buying another in the future!

  Shortly after purchasing one, I followed up with 2 more. This sub does incredible work for the money you pay. The volume know hasn't passed the half way point yet, but still manages to outperform many of the topnotch gear I've seen and used in the past. If you're looking for the thump in your speaker, this is a perfect addition to your sound.

  these things do sound great for the money. A couple things you need to be careful about though is for one, the box is made out of compressed cardboard with little nails holding it together so don't drop it or it could come apart. Install corner guards that they sell at radio shack for cheap. Next is the transformer that is mounted to the amp is bolted to a bracket that over time could break loose and damage the amp so either fabricate something like i did or be careful when you transport this thing. Next, I would be very surprised if this built in amp could actually produce 500 watts rms because i hooked up just the sub to my 100 watt Sony receiver and this thing was bouncing hard so the good news is it don't need alot of power to thump, the bad news is that i don't think this amp will hold up over time at high volumes. Either the speaker is getting too much power and distorting and clipping or the amp is maxing out and clipping..so if the amp blows then i would just convert them to a passive sub. Behringer makes a 4000 watt amp that goes for 310 with free shipping on ebay and is enough to power atleast 4 of these subs that would shake rooms apart and thats the rout that im going. The amps on these subs go for $233 from gemini so if you blow one then its worth spending another $77 bucks and getting something that will hold up..So for the money these things will work great if you take good care of them but if you want more bass then instead of cranking up the volume just but more subs until your bass craving is satisfied
