Overview

Let's face it; some people go to shows and relate bad venue sound with your band's talent, regardless of how good your band may really be. House sound systems are usually anything but spectacular, so why not take charge of your own sound with a complete and affordable PA package? This package pairs together all of the main components you need for your band's next live performance including a pair of Kustom KPC15 15 Loudspeakers, a pair of Kustom KPC10M 10" Stage Monitors, the Gear One PA2400 8-Channel Mixer, four Gear One MV1000 Dynamic Microphones, four XLR mic cables, four ¼ speaker cables, and two Musician's Gear All-Steel Tripod Speaker Stands.

KPC15 15 Loudspeaker
The Kustom KPC15 15" PA Speaker Cabinet with Horn is a great cab for medium and small gigs. Its specially voiced crossover ensures clear separation of frequencies for crisp, full-range reproduction. A 15" woofer delivers deep; rumbling low frequencies, while a 7" x 15" horn (with overload protector) produces bright high-end tones. It also features two parallel input jacks, sturdy construction with reinforced corners, and a heavy-duty Tolex covering.

KPC10M 10" Stage Monitor
The 10" Kustom KPC10M Monitor Speaker Cab boasts a horn and a specially voiced crossover to ensure clear separation of frequencies for crisp, full-range audio reproduction. The speaker cabinet's 10" woofer delivers punchy low frequencies, while a 2" x 6" horn produces bright high-end tones. The KPC10M monitor cab is equipped with 2 parallel input jacks. Sturdily constructed, Kustom gives the monitor reinforced corners and heavy-duty Tolex covering. The Kustom KPC10M speaker also offers 30, 60, and 90 positioning.

PA2400 8-Channel Mixer
The Gear One PA2400 features two 400W amps that can be directed to left/right mains, mains/monitors, or bridged for an 800W mono. Each amp is plenty for powering most 15" two-way speakers. If you need a system with rock band club capability, the PA2400 has plenty of juice to handle the gig.

Each channel is equipped with a three-band EQ and FX/aux level, as well as a pan knob and a monitor level. Another feature of the PA2400 mixer is a pair of seven-band graphics, one for each amp. These make a huge difference because when you use monitors, they often need a completely different EQ profile than the mains. Having a dedicated monitor EQ lets you get more volume out of your monitors while avoiding feedback.

It features 24-bit FX processing with 100 preset selections including combinations of reverb, delay, echo, chorus, flanger, and rotary FX, each with variable parameters. Dialing up a preset couldn't be easier. You simply turn a knob until the preset's number shows in the display, and then press the knob to select it. The PA2400 has separate FX level controls for mains and monitors, and also provides a jack for connecting a footswitch that turns the FX on or off remotely.

Portable and ergonomically designed, with well-placed handles on each end, you won't break your back getting to and from your performance or practice space. The box features a tilt-back panel so when placed on a table, the control panel is at a perfect angle. If you are assembling a system that will let your band rehearse or perform, the PA2400 is a superb solution.

MV1000 Dynamic Microphone
The Gear One MV1000 dynamic, hand-held vocal microphone is ruggedly built with a crisp, clear presence, and cardioid polar pattern for rear isolation and higher gain before feedback. It comes with a carrying pouch, stand adaptor, and a one-year warranty.

WOW

By Ryan Sansom

from Cleveland, OH

Comments about Gear One PA2400 / Kustom KPC15 Mains and Monitors Package:

Let me say first, considering the price, this is an unbelievable deal. This PA is WAY louder than expected and the Kustom monitors and cabs are much better built than anticipated. The GearOne PA head has a lot of extras in this price range, including 99 different effects. My classic rock band plays large bars, 100+ people, and this system is more than capable of handling these types of shows. We are using this package to play in front of 500 this coming weekend. Couldn't see a reason to need more than this, unless you're playing in front of 1000 or more.

I was skeptical when purchasing, but so happy I did

By Marcus Gonzales

from North Hollywood, CA

Comments about Gear One PA2400 / Kustom KPC15 Mains and Monitors Package:

I read so many good reviews on this system that I worried they might be too good to be true. However, for $549, I figured I could sell it quickly if it wasn't as good as the reviews had said it was. When I picked it up at the store, the boxes containing the speakers seemed smaller than I thought they should be. That kind of got me worrying again. Later that day, I hooked up the system in my practice studio (18'L X 14'W X 12'H). It was super easy to set up, but I discovered that the speakers run in series - not from a separate "out" for each speaker. That had me worrying again. Then, I powered it on and turned it up. WHOA! This thing has plenty of power, and it's super clean. I play in a band that is LOUD (Hard-hitting drummer, Ampeg SVT, Soldano 100W, and Egnater 65W), and the vocals that were running through the PA were clear and loud. Making this even better was the fact that we were able to add effects to the vocals, and they were easy to dial in. One more plus is that there are two separate EQs - one for the mains and one for the monitors. This allowed us to get just the right mix for the singer to hear himself. This system comes with everything you need to get going - cables, mics, stands. (Note: the mics aren't the best, but I didn't notice any difference between them and the old SM58s we have.) Added bonus: This PA also has an 1/8 jack so that an iPod or phone can be plugged right into it. Summary - This is a GREAT PA system for the price!

Completely Satisfied

By Richard Clounch

from Granbury,TX

Comments about Gear One PA2400 / Kustom KPC15 Mains and Monitors Package:

I just recieved this system 2 days ago. I set it up the first day I recieved it. I had to do a small gig for about 130 people in a gymnasium today. Sound was excellent and volume was also. Only had to use about halfway on the main volume and that was with both mains and monitors. I was looking for a setup like this to maybe get somethings started by with just me singing, playing keyboard and a harmony box. So far it is working out great!

Better than I expected

By william Beckenhaupt

from riverhead, ny

Comments about Gear One PA2400 / Kustom KPC15 Mains and Monitors Package:

First off when this things comes it's in like 6 different boxes. it was awesome seeing it on my porch when i got home. like Christmas. i set it up immediately and tested it on one mic with the mic set to about 3 and the volume of the mixer at about 3 as well. i plugged in a guitar with a pedal board as well and put that a little lower than the mic. i went through the motions of a song with not loud vocals but relatively normal to speaking level and my wife was telling me it wasn't too too loud but definitely couldn't ignore it through the rest of the house. i cranked this thing up a bit 5 on both setting and played my drums along with a buddy playing the guitar and it was more than sufficient to over power my heavy drumming style. afterwards my buddy was like all the reviews saying you couldn't play a show with this set up were sadly mistaken. could easily fill a VFW hall, or medium sized venue. definitely worth the money.

Great system for church

By Isaac Carter

from Oxford, MS

Comments about Gear One PA2400 / Kustom KPC15 Mains and Monitors Package:

We bought this package for our church youth band. We have keyboard, 2 guitars, bass, drums, and 4 vocalists through a line mixer. We have used this system with just the monitors for fellowship meals, outside for outreaches, and in auditoriums for youth events. Never had an issue with power, sounds awesome, and is reliable. I do wish the cd in would come through the monitors, but I understand why it doesn't. The 15 in subs offer great low ends, and clean highs. The mics sound great, but they do pick up sounds through the stand or from handling. I was a little nervous about the head unit before I bought it, but it really sound great and seems to hold up well. Kustom speakers will last forever, I've seen them from the 70s sill working fine. No, they don't sound perfect, but they sound good for 40 year. All of the stands and cables are top notch.

Comments about Gear One PA2400 / Kustom KPC15 Mains and Monitors Package:

Always more of a instramentalist than a singer, delayed getting the PA, until I noticed this nice package and am thrilled with it. The presets are a nice suprise. I plug my multi effects guitar pedal rght in. That and mics sound awesome. I would recomend getting the TC Helicon VoiceTone Mic while you are at it and you are a studio! Can;t go wrong with the price Enjoy!

Awesome First PA

By Mike Wojtaszczyk

from Lancaster, NY

Comments about Gear One PA2400 / Kustom KPC15 Mains and Monitors Package:

Ok so my band has been going on for more than a year with multiple singers and only one guy had a small PA system that could barely got the vocals loud enough to hear if the drummer played soft. Now after all this searching we've just decided I'll sing while playing guitar. I didn't want to sing through the extra guitar amp like all the other singers had, seeing as I was trying to sell that amp, and it wasn't loud enough to hear vocals without feedback issues. We thought we were set and going to buy the same small PA the old singer had, but went in to Guitarcenter to try it out and it was too small for our needs. Then we decided to move up to the bigger Gear One PA1800 and mains package, but then I did some price checking of individual items and found that for just a little bit more we could get this bigger system and not have to upgrade for a while. I do not regret buying the bigger one, even though it is a little much for just a 15'x18' band room, but this PA has enough power to handle running the bass through it (just use a compressor/limiter on it to keep the peaks away) and also clear vocals. Definately amazing for the price. We have the monitors hooked up in front of me and behind the drummer and an sm57 for my mic and it's right above the 10" monitor. No feedback issues. Tons of clean headroom. Used aux for ipod and blasted it and then went outside and could hear it all the way down my street. For practice volumes on mains and monitors aren't even set to half (so lots of extra power and definite ability to gig) and the vocals are loud and clear and the 10" monitors are outstandingly cutting. I can hear myself with ease, and in all that makes me sing even better. So if you are looking for a PA for your band and you want to be able to go play almost any small to medium venue this is perfect. Lots of mic inputs for when you want to mic up the kick, snare, hi hat, 2 guitars, and then 2 vocals. Even has the cool dual mic or guitar input on last channel that we use for bass and also is perfect for acoustic guitar. Had it for 3 weeks now and it's going great still, no pops or fizz or static. Only complaint is that the fan is a little loud, but even just the 4 of us talking during practice drowns out the bit of fan whizzing. Also is a bit heavy, but what PA won't be heavy? I kind of like the heaviness, since it makes the system seem very durable. Dropped a monitor actually and also had a guitar hit the mains grille, but no damage to either cabinet. The guitar was actually scratched haha. All in all perfect setup for anyone who needs a great PA at a great price. if you pieced this out it would cost over 3 times as much. Totally recommend it. Just buy this in the first place so you don't waste time and money on a small PA that feeds back and needs to get upgraded within months!
