The Softest Hardcase I've Ever Seen

By Daniel

from Orange County, CA

Comments about Gator GL-Dread Lightweight Dreadnought Guitar Case:

The Gator Lightweight series is a revelation. I own a few of them and feel as though I should replace all my cases with them. These cases are light as promised, but protect as well or better than the wood-shell or plastic cases I've used for years. In fact, the advantage is that these cases are forgiving when banged, dropped, or hit. Rather than the case getting cracked, the wall or the furniture or car getting scratched, NOTHING HAPPENS! The guitar is untouched, the furniture, wall or car still look the same as before. It's a miracle. Transitioning over to these cases will also make you need to double check your case to make sure your guitar's inside. The case is light as a feather. Lastly, the storage capability is also better than a hard case. Like a gig bag, there's a nice zipped pocket. Very handy for paper, CDs, etc.

Great Bag

By Endof7

from Kerrville, TX

Comments about Gator GL-Dread Lightweight Dreadnought Guitar Case:

I use this bag weekly to attend my guitar lessons. The zipper opening makes it easy to get my guitar in and out quickly. The foam molding keeps the guitar secure and protected without the weight of a hard shell bag. My guitar instructor was so impressed she wanted the information to order one for herself.

Great case, bad smell

By Reggie Pierce

from Rochester, NY

Comments about Gator GL-Dread Lightweight Dreadnought Guitar Case:

I love most things about this case. I bought it 2 months ago and I must say it seems to work very well. - The case is very light - It fits my Martin DX1AE like a glove - It looks nice - Carry handle is comfortable and sturdy (I don't use the backpack straps) I don't bring my guitar around a lot of places, so durability probably won't be too much of an issue for me, but I think this case will hold up well. My one complaint is the smell. This is made out of expanded polystyrene (styrofoam) and if left closed for any length of time, the smell builds up inside until it is quite potent when you open the case. It just really taints the experience of taking the guitar out of the case. Hopefully as the case ages the smell will dissapate, but so far it is pretty rank.

Sturdy, Lightweight, and Protective, But Just a Tad Too Small

By Tony Coffman

from Newberg, Oregon

Comments about Gator GL-Dread Lightweight Dreadnought Guitar Case:

This is my second lightweight case made by Gator. Like the first one, which I rated a "FIve", this is a solid, lightweight, protective case. I really do like the backpack straps, and the overall design of this case. My complaint against this case, is that it is too tight. My other Gator case is the Jumbo size and fits my 12 string Takamine with the guitar strap wonderfully. The dreadnought size case, with my Taylor 310CE (Cut-away) is so tight fitting that the headstock has to be forced into the top of the case, and I cannot get my guitar strap in the case and close it. It is just a little too short and a little to shallow. If it wasn't just a tad too tight, this would get five stars.

Awesome Combination of Hard and Soft!

By Jessica Piper

from Brockport, NY

Comments about Gator GL-Dread Lightweight Dreadnought Guitar Case:

I LOVE this case. My Rogue Dreadnaught acoustic guitar fits snug inside, and there are so many pockets! It's comfortable to wear, and the straps are removable so it's optional as an over-the-shoulder instead of backpack style. I am not worried about any damage with this case.
