The zipper blew out at the bottom and my bass ate some concrete. One other thing just after a few months the bottom foam is pretty much shot.
It does what a gig bag is supposed to do. You can carry it easily over your shoulder or by the handles. The foam is decent enough to protect your stick and your ride. The storage is adequate with lots a little storage spots. The zipper seems sturdy. Overall a really good bag for the buck. I looks like it should hold up to steady gigging, I'll post back after it has some miles on it. Too bad the local store doesn't carry this bag, I bought a Roadrunner Roadster bag at the local Guitar Center and took it back because the hangin' it over your shoulder thing was just weak at best and a messed up way to keep the shoulder straps.
It's a gator bag, I own a few they are sturdy and well made USUALLY with well thought out features. Someone at Gator should've tested this design before adding it to one of their otherwise fine bags, the highly promoted 'pick clip' (pick holder/ zipper tab) broke off the second I tried to use it -right outside the front door of GC Sherman Oaks as I was trying to put my receipt and other papers in the outer pouch. At first I thought it was just my bag or me, but after seeing others. I see the exact same failure happened. A case of a quality company tripping over their own feet from lack of testing. If you buy this make sure you plan for a zipper tab replacement as it will break the first time it is jarred or mildly pulled on.
