This bag was on back-order and I ended up waiting a few weeks longer then I originally wanted to, but it was worth the wait. I travel for a living and don't have to worry about having to check my guitar, since it goes with me in the cockpit, and I wanted the smallest, strongest, and most comfortable gig bag I could find for a low price, and I feel this is that bag.
I was worried about the sling and not having the option for a back-pack style bag, but the sling seems to be working out very well. Its quick, comfortable, and easily adjusted. The only bad thing about it is that it makes me want to lean forward, as if I'm pulling something behind me, so I find that making a conscious effort to stand up straight, solves that problem. The gig bag durability seems to be very good, but I've only had it one day, and we'll see how it stands up over the years.
What I really love about this bag, is that it fits my guitar really well. I have a left-handed strat, and I can tell a right-handed strat would work better, but the left handed strat fits well enough. The bag is tight, so my guitar won't slide around inside it, like my last gig bag, a as a result I don't look like I'm carrying around a lot of bag on my back.
The sling is strong and comfortable, the carry handles are also strong, and overall the quality is very good for the price. My first impression of the front pouch is more neutral, since access is somewhat limited. The zipper only opens up halfway, and it does not expand much, but there are a ton of pockets inside. It seems to me that the design in centralized around a pocket for every item. In other words, one book equals one pocket. It will take a little getting use to, but I'm willing to give it a chance.
Ok so as I've said, I had the bag for one day and travelled across the country with it, and it either meets or exceeded my original expectations, but time is ultimately what will determine the actual quality of the bag. I gave it 5 stars, because the bag is afordable, and honestly I think it's worth more for a general solid body gig bag.
