The Gator GRC-Studio4Go-W Laptop or Mixer Rack Case features rugged military-grade polyethylene construction, 4U of rack rail for rackmount recording devices and disk drive, an adjustable laptop compartment with no-slip web strap tie-downs and a convoluted foam interior in the lid. This is a really good design. It does what I expected. The wheels are a welcome addition. The only criticisms I have is that the female screw panel on the back of the rack rails is not fixed to the rack rails so you need a couple rack screws to be in before it is secure. I've seen SKB designs like this also. It's no big deal once your gear is racked but kind of a drag when putting the first piece in and trying to line up the screws with the holes. Solid piece of gear so far. I haven't road tested it yet. Seems pretty well built all around. Don't expect to use a 17" macbook and keep things like firewire cables plugged in as it's not quite wide enough. The 15 may be able to do this. However, it's probably best not to leave these cables plugged into the mac anyway during transport.
