The Gator GRBW Rolling PE Rack Bag is great for effects processors, recording equipment and sound modules. Lightweight yet rigid, it features a polyethylene reinforced interior frame, 600-Denier nylon exterior, threaded field replaceable rack rails, and an internal reinforced aluminum valance. The retractable handle is removable as are the wheels. Exterior pocket for cables, etc.

This bag is exactly what I was hoping for, and very well designed (simple yet effective). Let me be very clear here - I am being 100% objective. If this unit wasn't up to par, I'd simply give it a bad review and move on. I have to have reliable cases because they protect my equipment, but for this price I had to give it a shot and I'm glad I did. I give this bag 5-Stars. The bag is well designed, and well built for the price. It is not 'air-worthy' meaning you wouldn't want to hand it to a baggage handler since those guys toss around bags for fun. I did however, purchased it specifically because the 3U version is small enough to fit as a carry on for my trip across country! Two bonuses of the unit are: 1) The wheel carriage is removable entirely. When I purchased this, I thought removable wheels meant screw drivers and time. Instead, the entire unit sits on top of a wheeled 'shelf' that is attached with velcro. It is attached in a way that it will not fall off of the wheeled portion of the unit, so don't worry about that. 2) The outer-facing panel that unzips that covers your knobs on equipment has a piece of hard plastic inside, which is a huge bonus in case something hits that side. Neither of those were clear before I bought it, but they are both positive. The other reviewer noted cheap wheels. They are indeed plastic, and not incredibly well made, but don't run through NYC streets with it and you should be fine. Besides, you can buy units that have FANTASTIC wheels, you just have to have the money. I would recommend this to anyone with portable rack-mountable equipment needs.
The zipper broke on my last Gator bag, which I had had for 4 years or so, so I was looking for something with wheels to carry my power amp around and settled on this one. After I installed my power amp in the new bag, I discovered that the bag was shallower than my previous one, and I couldn't velcro my power strip in the back, which forced me to purchase a power conditioner (probably a good thing). The only drawback I have found so far is that Gator puts rack rails in both the front and back of the bag, but doesn't include the nut rail on the back, thus taking away your ability to screw something into the back rails (my cooling fan -- had to use a screw with a nut, not a big deal). All in all I expect it to last 3 or 4 years before the zipper breaks, and I'll have to buy another one. The wheels are questionable, and I will use them, until they break, only on flat load ins as I don't think banging my power amp up a flight of stairs is such a good idea.
