The Gator GC-SGS for double-horned, solid-slab electric guitars is made with the finest ABS plastic and an ultra-strong extruded aluminum valance. A through-bolted system attaches the exterior plastic to the interior foam, making it exceptionally rugged. The interior is designed to keep your instrument safe with soft plush and an EPS foam that supports the neck. This is the second GATOR case I have purchased, the first being for an acoustic. You cannot buy a better case for the money than a GATOR. This case has a sturdy aluminum valance as well as locking chrome-plated latches. It also supports the neck of the SG so that it's not resting on the head of the guitar. A thick pad in the lid presses onto the body of the guitar behind the bridge so that the guitar cannot slide around inside the case. The cut-out is not perfect, but is much better than SKG cases that are made for "SG style" guitars. The SKG cases also have cheap plastic latches that break easily. You will not regret buying a GATOR for your SG.
The 4 latches are very secure so you know your Axe is safe, the pocket inside to put stuff in is pretty big and the case doesn't smell like most cases do
A well made case, but what we're they thinking when they made the actual cut-out for the SG guitar??? It's just like one of your other reviewers said,,, the guitar can slide up and down and from side to side about 1 inch!!! Poor fit!!!
