My daughter was going on a trip with her high school band, and I was worried about the cheap black case that she already had flying open in the baggage hold of the airplane (this has happened to other students' instruments on previous trips). This messenger bag was the perfect solution. It was easy for to carry since she could sling it over her shoulder. It protected her alto sax from the airline baggage handlers. The only complaint I have is that it seemed like the interior was too big for an alto sax. I double-checked the tag to make sure I ordered the correct item and I did. In the end, it was okay and her instrument was fine.
