This ATA Polyethelene Bass Case (GPE-BASS-TSA) has a universal fit EPS protective foam open cavity design with a crushed velvet, plush interior and extended reach protective neck cradle to give your axe a nice, safe resting place inside.
Outside, it protects your bass from the dings of transport with a military-grade polyethylene shell. For your picks, tuner, cables, and other assorted accessories, it offers an ample compartment (14.25" x 4.75" x 2").

Got this when I bought a bass in the USA to take it to my home country. Checked it in as luggage, and, as fate would have it, the bass didn't arrive. They neglected to get it off the plane on my stop, so it went wherever the plane went afterwards. It spend four days flying all over the USA due to the airline's ineptitude. I landed on Friday morning, got the bass on Monday afternoon. The case had its share of scratches and had been roughed, but the bass was intact.
This case is awesome! It looks good on the outside and inside, and does what it is supposed to; protect your investment. It has a red suede material on the inside that looks incredible, and two built in compartments to store straps, tools, tuners, etc. It is bulky, but it still isn't very heavy at all. I play a Schecter bass with a 35" scale length and it fits perfectly. Good buy.
I used this to transport my 5-string from the US to Europe when moving there a few years ago. I had wanted to loosen the strings considerably and had forgotten; the bass showed up in tune - I'm serious. I flew Phoenix - London - Prague and everything was fine. I also, due to the well-planned interior, placed two pedals and other gear inside, which is guaranteed to get searched from TSA due to the wiring. So, the TSA locks proved helpful and the case is not much bigger than a normal hard case making it easy to get around. I used the case for basic transport while living in the EU and then returned to the US. Now, three years since buying it, other than a big sticker from Lufthansa Airlines the case looks brand new. This is really a very good value even at twice the price. I highly recommend this product.
