excellent multi-purpose combo

By Gb

from richmond, va

Comments about Gallien-Krueger Backline 210 Combo Amp:

I use the combo as a practice amp, teamed it up with a Peavey Tour 1-15 recently for live shows and use a Fender Jazz-Plus and Geddy Lee Jazz-- nothing to complain about. All the controls are responsive and can get any tone I want. Great stage volume and consistant tone, very impressed with the punch. Very happy with the overall performance of the Backline 210. A little heavy to move, but worth it's weight in gold.

Great GK!

By Rick

from Deephaven, MN

Comments about Gallien-Krueger Backline 210 Combo Amp:

I got this amp to replace my dying acoustic AB 50 50 watt combo. This GK plays really well although if you crank the volume you can notice that the low end starts to overpower the speakers, so I would recommend getting a 15 inch add on to supplement it. other than that and the heavyness of the unit, it is awesome. I play an Ibanez SR 305 DX and a Fender Jazz 4 string and both sound terrific through this thing. the built in distortion and boost modes are also a great thing too with the 4 band eq, you can get any sort of sound from your instrument. this amp rocks!

Bass playing drummer

By Greg Moss

from Phoenix

Comments about Gallien-Krueger Backline 210 Combo Amp:

I needed to outfit a home studio and still wanted something that could be played live if needed. IT ROCKS! ...and I still don't think I've used half of the 300 watts that are available. Alot of punch for not alot of money. With all the power I know someday I'll add a 15". Being a drummer, I know the sound I would like to drum to; and I found it... if you know it what I mean.

great amp...

By Dave

from Sicklerville, NJ

Comments about Gallien-Krueger Backline 210 Combo Amp:

Great amp for experienced and beginning bassists. Plenty of power for gigging but can connect to a cabinet if you need more power. Love the two channels and the overdrive. Great EQ can be customized for any kind of sound. Highly recommend, especially for the low price!

Denmeister

By Dennis Janousek

from Boise, Idaho

Comments about Gallien-Krueger Backline 210 Combo Amp:

I have had this amp for about a year now.I love. I used to play in the late 60's early 70's but quit. Played on a Fender Bassman. Wish I would have had this back then. I use it in conjunction with a Backline 210 cab and it puts out all the sound I could want. I also like the amount of tone control there is. I don't use the distortion but love the contour control. I haven't had any problems with speakers and I like to play loud. Can't go wrong with this GK product. Great buy, Great product.

This Amp is Amazing

By Matt Messier

from Fall River, MA

Comments about Gallien-Krueger Backline 210 Combo Amp:

This amp is great! I used it recently in a performance and was great. It was not loud enough for me to get over the drums and guitar but it has great quality sound and is great for a beginning musician in a band. This amp's greatest quality is the capability of being able to hook up to cabinets and make its overall sound louder and clearer. This amp is great and I highly recommend it.

FEEL THE THUNDER!!

By Pauperodroadie

from Centreville, MD

Comments about Gallien-Krueger Backline 210 Combo Amp:

This amp combo rocks the house. (Literally) I compared all amp combos in this price range via internet and in store trials. Found the Gallien-Krueger Backline 210 Combo Amp to be the best. Love the tone and low thunder. Overdrive sounds awesome. Spring-loaded side handles need to be beefed up for the weight of this amp. Bought mine at the Towson,MD store, Adam is a real blessing and makes all of our groups "roadtrips" memorable. We love to jam on all the great guitar center gear before we buy. No need to shop anywhere else. Internet is great but, if you are a begginner like me, there's nothing like live preview of your purchase.

Excellent value in a nice tight and tidy package!

By Shmegenke

from SF, CA

Comments about Gallien-Krueger Backline 210 Combo Amp:

I've got an original GK GMT head from 1979 which just won't quit so I'm well familiar with GK's quality and reliability. When it was time to scale down to a smaller and more manageable combo setup, this was the one I decided on after checking out all the competitors (don't need all those bells and whistles when you have a good amp to start with). For the money, I truly believe there is no better value. I played 6 different basses (stingray, jass bass, precision bass, warwick 5 string, Ibanez hollowbody)through this amp at the store and after hearing them all, I had to buy it.

Very Good Sound

By israelrayd

from Defiance Ohio

Comments about Gallien-Krueger Backline 210 Combo Amp:

The amp sounds great, but the speakers in the amp are not very dependable, I have only own the amp for 3 weeks and the right speaker has a rattle in it and sounds like it is blown! It sounded great the first 2 shows I have played, but Now! I am Second guessing! about the GK. Maybe I should have stuck with Hartke!

Nice amp

By Bassman

from Cleveland Ohio

Comments about Gallien-Krueger Backline 210 Combo Amp:

I just bought this amp today it is very very very very nice! very powerful has alot of toys on it.It has overdrive so when you want to play Cliff Burton stuff you can play it. The over- drive is clean, the only bad part is you have to turn it up a lot when you have it on cause it is quiet. But man very powerful! Sonds Great!
