I was torn between this cab and buying an acoustic brand cab. The acoustic was 300$ so what swayed me to drop the extra 50$ ? one the GK has a metal grill, essential for touring bands. The acoustic has a cloth grill it is SO easy for those to be torn and your speakers will be done for . Thumbs up GK. Also the GK corners are sturdy to protect but also have a cool design allowing you to stack cabs. How do i feel about my cab? well i loved it so much that i ordered another! now i have two of these cabs , they stack and lock into each other to form a tall stack of GK power all for just under 700$. How can you go wrong?

GK is SO CLOSE to getting it "right". Their amps are things of beauty. The prices seem so attractive compared to many other bass amp manufacturers. The Neo level cabinets and combo amps weigh less than a small guitar amp. BUT, after 10-12 of these amps over the past 5+ years, ranging from the cheap MB115 combo amp to the MB212 combo, I have yet to own a GK amp that didn't involve deferring to the company's customer support and service department. Whether it was rattles or "farts" coming from the drivers on even low to medium volumes, or the trademark crackling out of the cheapo Piezo tweeter, none of the amps warranted continued ownership. It's a shame too, 'cause they are some of the nicest looking cabs out there.

General recommendation: Feast your eyes on GK at the store BUT don't buy. You'll be sorry.

Excellent first Cab

By ROBERT CHILDRESS

Comments about Gallien-Krueger 410MBX 400W 4x10 Bass Speaker Cabinet with Horn:

Ive been playing bass for about 2 years...This is my first cab, and i have it hooked up to the GK Backline 600 amp head...I am in a Heavy Metal band, and practice every week for about 6 hours, and have played through 2 gigs with this setup with no issue...Very good sound, clear on the highs, and lows...However, at times it is a bit hard to hear the lows during shows, and i do have a bit of trouble at practice keeping up with the two guitarists 4x12 cabs...So, i would suggest if you do plan to play in a band with two guitarists, and play small gigs, think about adding the 115 MBX to help bring out the lows in your music...I will be doing so myself soon...Nothing wrong with the 410 MBX, its just not made to bring out the lows as much as the 115 MBX...

SURPRISED!!!

Comments about Gallien-Krueger 410MBX 400W 4x10 Bass Speaker Cabinet with Horn:

I bought this product used from a local Guitar Center store. Of course I tested before buying and was really impressed with the sound. As soon as I got home I plugged my GK 400w head into it and cranked up the volume. I own a Ibanez RG fat bottom 4 string bass and was a littl skeptical on the deep bass sound quality...that was until i turned it on. It sounded AMAZING!!! Out of all my bass amps i can not get a loud enough, deep, clear fat botttom sound. Oh, and did i mention it only cost me $150 used!!! Even at the new price its definately worth the buy!

Great Cab If You Like Rattles

By SpaceBass43

from Scottsbluff, NE

Comments about Gallien-Krueger 410MBX 400W 4x10 Bass Speaker Cabinet with Horn:

Bought this cab knowing that I've had problems with G-K products in the past (810 GLX w/defective speakers, RB1001 head w/bad cooling fan) but G-K stands behind their products and the customer service is second to none. I figured I'd give them another chance to redeem themselves. When this cab showed up and I plugged it in to my RB700 head with a Sans Amp and boy was I surprised. It had a strange rattle from the get-go! I figured it had to be the speakers and I had so much trouble with their speakers in the past I decided to just sink some more money and buy some American made (these inexpensive G-K cabs are made in China) Eminence B810 legends. It still rattles! Come to find out it's the cab itself, the quality is terrible. Now instead of a cheap piece of junk I've got an expensive piece of junk! Guess I'll have to contact G-K anyways and hope they've got a solution this time! Good thing they've got good warrenties! My advice... try something else! This thing does look good and seems well built 'till you put the power to it. I think I'm stick'n with Ampeg!

Great cab- awesome value

Comments about Gallien-Krueger 410MBX 400W 4x10 Bass Speaker Cabinet with Horn:

I bought this cab a few months ago I sounds great. I have it paired with a Hartke HA 2500 and I can dial in any sound I want. I used to run both the GK-4x10 MBX and a Sunn 2x15 with the Hartke, but after dialing in my tone I realized all I need is the GK-4x10. I like the tone and depth I get from the four 10's by itself. I was worried about not getting the depth with the lack of a 15 (or in my case 2x15's), however I the GK MBX by itself with my Hartke amp. I am actually going to sell the 2x15 Sunn cab now that I have the GK MBX. The only complaint I have about this cab is the weight. I lugg it around by myself and it is 74 lbs. I live in a second floor apartment and the jam space is in the basement of my boys house. Not too much fun carrying this thing around for practice, but it sounds great. Awesome value and great tone.

Comments about Gallien-Krueger 410MBX 400W 4x10 Bass Speaker Cabinet with Horn:

I'm a high school band director and I just purchased the 4ohm version of this cab and paired it with the GK 700rb head. This cab brings sound quality and massive quantity. It is very capable of thumping an entire high school gym. the bass is rich and when paired with the mentioned head is very versatile. Another benefit is that the electronic hiss doesn't exist! The front grill is durable, however I would like to see it beefed up more to protect against student's accidents during transportation.

Comments about Gallien-Krueger 410MBX 400W 4x10 Bass Speaker Cabinet with Horn:

Aight.. so i got this Cab, bout 2 days ago, jammed with it once, and well im fairly happy with it, really light, 75 pounds or sumthin like that, nice steel grill that is pretty thick, not a fan of the plastic corners though.. far as sound its got alot of punch and some decent low end, i have it paired up with a Carvin BX600 Head ( solidstate ), so it gets alot more power then it really needs... i plan on getting the 115 later on to pair with it, so i think it will turn into a pretty damn good stack, definatly recomend it as it is pretty easy on the wallet

So far so good

Comments about Gallien-Krueger 410MBX 400W 4x10 Bass Speaker Cabinet with Horn:

So i bought this cab two days ago and so far so good. i staked it on top of another GK 115 mbx and use them with a mesa boogie m6 carbine head. all i have to say is wow! the mesa of course is awesome but the cabs sound great. there nice sound clear and punchy.i get real nice highs and mids and the horn also gives me a real clear sound. everyone has been giving complements on my rig. i went with GK because they make real good equipment for good prices. i researched different cabs and asked around. what i found is that for the price GK made the better cab and the perfect amount of watt handling for my m6 mesa head which is 600 whats. all the other cabs either couldn't find the right watt handling or they were able to take more than the head could give.also the other cabs were to expensive GK was perfect i recommend this cab to any one gk 410 mbx great sounding amp good price and sounds great staked. if u need a good cab either to stack or just want a 410 then go with this
