GK's RB Series bass amplifiers have been setting the standard for over two decades and the 280W 400RB-IV continues that tradition. Inside this compact, lightweight ˜superstructure' is the most advanced bass circuitry available. In 1972, Bob Gallien developed what he calls G.I.V.E. Technology (Gate Induced Valve Effect). This ˜valve effect' is integrated into the design of all RB Series heads and is part of what gives them their distinct sound. The 400RB-IV Series bass head delivers a warm, punchy tone with a fast transient response that not only sounds better, it feels better. GK's renowned voicing filters and intuitive four band active EQ make it simple to dial in a great sound. Every day thousands of players around the world in arenas, clubs and basements plug into GK heads because they love that sound.

Comments about Gallien-Krueger 400RB-IV 280W Bass Head:
Got this one for Valentines Day to replace my old GK Backline and I love it! All the features you need for club gigging, plenty of power to push 2 4x10 cabs and definitely built for the road. GKs are built like tanks. The Boost knob is the best feature. Gives that overdrive growl that really cuts through even at low volume without being overbearing. If you are playing small club type venues, this amp & a good 2x10 or 4x10 cabinet are all you'll need. The only complaint is that the 1/4 outputs should be in the center of the rear panel. Having them low makes it difficult to plug in if you mount this amp low in your rack. I do to use the feet as additional support and had to notch the back of the rack so the cable wasn't in a bind. Other than that. The GK Rocks!
