Comments about Gallien-Krueger 112MBP 1x12 200W Powered Bass Cab:
Took the 112-MBP/MB-112 II combo to a medium sized gig and was delighted in the power and tone (400 watts w/two 12s)and the ease in transport, especially at post-gig. It was surprising to see that GK limits the chaining to three cabinets, but for bar gigs, this set-up is ideal for low and medium volume gigs. The 200 watt "head" has no mute and tuner out, so use a headstock mounted tuner or go "very old school" when it comes to tuning. And, make sure there are enough electrical outlets for the two amps. Crank the EQ and the set-up will go "Jack Bruce" on you, but how well the amps and speakers will endure the abuse is unknown. This chained system is to be used exclusively and only with the other MB II and MBP models and no other cabinets outside of that model line, but there is flexibility within this GK system (chain the MB-112 II to a 212-MBP and have about 700 watts RMS and three 12s in two cabinets). This particular (MB-112 II/MBP-112) GK system does it job and does it very well.
