This is a great little amp. I've used it on 5 gigs so far(2 weeks). It sounds clear and full and weighs 32 lbs less than my old rig. I am also impressed by how coolly it operates. A the end of the gig, it's just luke warm, and I play pretty hard and loud. Overall I would not hesitate to recommend this amp. It was out of stock when I placed my order, but within a day or two I received a shipped notice and had the amp (with free shipping) within a week of placing the order.
Quite Possibly the best bass amp I have ever owned. I've played it with my P bass, Jazz bass, Peavey cirrus bass, and upright bass and there seems to be no limit to this little monster! It works sonically well with all my bass cabs from a 2x10, to 1x15, and 1x12. If your traveling or need to carry your amp and infant son. this amp does it all! Well worth the money and outdoes my Ampeg Portabass 800!
GK's version of this mini amp. Many mfrs. use the power amp, made by Bang and Olafson, and combine it with their own preamp, such as Eden, Gallien Krueger, Markbass, etc.. This is a good amp for the price, and very portable. Good for small gigs. One caveat: on earlier models, if left on for a long time, they tend to overheat and distort until turned off and on again. Newer units tend not to do this. In any case, there are local techs who can fix this problem under warranty. So if you like the tone delivered by GK preamps, considered this and a good 2X10 or 4X10 for small gigs.
