Great head at a great value

I bought this head a couple of weeks ago at the Guitar Center in Mira Mesa, California, only because waiting for the shipping would kill me. I played the head everytime I went to guitar center on the GK 115SBX head so I just decided to buy them both, let me tell you I couldn't be happier. The range is fantastic and it makes a great combo with my Active Fender Jazz Deluxe. I continually find new tones to explore, and I love bi-amp, you can hear that the quality of the horn doesn't suffer when you turn up. It's a shame this scale doesn't go to ten because this is a great deal. Also, the head is not as heavy as most I tried out (ampegs and such) but it still has some weight to it, and it feels exceptionally sturdy. I'm not afraid of damaging too much when packing for shows. Feel free to look around for more heads, the great price and sheer beauty of this head's tone will call you back.

Driving Power and Excellent Features!

If you are looking for a head that will have more then enough power to get you through any gig, LOOK NO FURTHER. I actively shopped around for many months playing everything I could get my hands on. I found a head that would take my sound to the next level for the right price. Some of the features that attracted me to this head were; speakon outputs (fuller frequency retention), 4/5-string mode, XLR balanced output to a main system, bi-amp control for tweeter and woofer, and the contour and presence adjustment when you want to stand out. Don't forget the unique G-K "growl" you can boost into your sound. Bring some G-K cabs along and shake any venue. You won't find anything like this with any other brand (just ask Flea from Red Hot Chili Peppers)!

Gallien Krueger 1001 RB II

I've been playing bass for about 15 years and been through many rigs ( about 6 or 7 ). This head is by far the best bang for your buck. The high power and percise sound are incredible. You will find that this head is unmatched, and in a world of it's own! With it's more than reasonable price and "high end sound," your tone will definatly be heard and admired! Two Thumbs Up!

GK 1001rb 2 Head Best Amp for Hard Rock

Bought this amp and a 410sbx cab running in Bi-amp mode. Best combination of crisp, clean raw power and metallic gritty punch I have played (played through ampeg and aguilar amps and cabs at simliar prices ranges). Highly suggest one plays through this setup in bi-amp mode before making any other purchase. My boy Justin from tool uses this stuff (2001rb) and there is a reason!!!

SMALL PRICE FOR GREAT HEAD!

This amp packs all of the power you'll probably ever need. I've been an Ampeg fan for years, took an Eden endorsement for a while, but this head has completely won me over to GK. It is EXTREMELY loud! The tone punches like a battering ram and if coupled to one of the GK Neo cabs, will annihilate both of your guitarists if they get too loud. This is the last head I'll ever need to buy. Very warm and tight sounding. Only gripe is that the effects loop is on the front instead of the back.
