Overview

The G&L Tribute Rampage Jerry Cantrell Signature Electric Guitar shares the original's soft maple body, sleek hard rock maple neck with ebony fingerboard and Kahler vibrato. While the early Rampage had a locking nut designed by Leo Fender, Jerry modded his necks to fit a beefier Floyd Rose locking nut. The Rampage Jerry Cantrell has the shelf for the Floyd Rose nut engineered in for greater stability and sustain. What's more, the Kahler vibrato is slightly recessed into the body, allowing lower action than those early Rampages. Then there's the pickup. Early Rampages came equipped with a Schaller humbucker, but the Tribute Series Rampage Jerry Cantrell model has a potent Paul Gagon-designed humbucker which pairs spectacularly with the soft maple body.

Great build quality, fit and finish.

Comments about G&L Tribute Rampage Jerry Cantrell Signature Electric Guitar:

I have played this for over a year now and still like the neck feel and tuning stability. The fit and finish is really great at any price range. The tremolo is super adjustable, just look it up on you tube on how to adjust it correctly. I decided to change out the pick up because I wanted a little bit more out of my sound. I discovered the old pickup was a G&B from Korea. I replaced it with a EVH Frankenstein and I am very happy. That change alone makes this guitar a pleasure to play. I recommend this guitar, if you are picky about tone like me the pick up is the weak link in this set up, that's it. The rest of this guitar is solid! You cannot flex the neck to make a note sag, The neck and neck joint is tough - I really like that.
