Comments about G&L Tribute L-2000 4-String Bass:
I've been playing bass for 12 years & I've owned this for a week now,and have played out with it the quality fit and finish are topnotch,it has great balance all hardware bridge tuners pickups pots & neck joint are prefect,my only concern was the nut width at 1 3/4inch yet with the neck shape it's not a problem at all!! this thing plays fast on any part of the neck it feels natural in hand super easy to slap on,it's very enjoyable to play. the sound options are huge from deep clean booming bass to dirty gritty p-bass to clean solid Jaco like highs to crispy highs to tight & really punchy with plenty of attack & growly meaty in your face and many in between. Leo's(MFD)has lots of power it just has killer sound with lots of tonal options lately I've been playing straight through our p.a. and would often be lost in the mix with my jazz bass and Warwick, not any more I sold my Warwick to get this and I'm glad I did.now I haven't played a USA made G&L L-2000 so I can't compare them.it's a good price for so much bass I got the natural /w maple neck I could not be happier I've owned 8 basses this is the only one I've given a name it's Ashly. this thing is a sound guys dream to mix. I recommend this to any one pro to beginner. Dan
