G&L founder Leo Fender had a vision for a new guitar, and his partner George Fullerton sketched that vision. G&L’s Steve Grom uncovered the sketch three decades later in Leo’s workshop, and his colleague Paul Gagon set about turning the vision into reality. He enlisted Jackson Guitars founder Grover Jackson – a long-time friend and collaborator – to contribute. The result is an instrument that’s steeped in rock-guitar history but groundbreaking: the Fiorano, the first set-neck, 25½”-scale, three-tuners-to-a-side guitar G&L has ever offered. It’s a striking instrument and, quite simply, it kicks ass. It joins the pioneering 24¾”-scale Ascari in G&L’s Tribute Series, and it delivers on its promise. The 24-fret neck and Gagon-designed humbuckers are made for brutal riffing and detuned/drop-tuned heaviness – but the Fiorino cleans up beautifully when asked.

Comments about G&L Tribute Fiorano GTS Electric Guitar:

This is a wonderful feeling guitar and sounds great. The Coil Tap is a huge benefit, yet I will admit it gets quiet and you need to boost for it.. I don't know how anyone can go wrong with such a well made unit that is well under $500... Plays great with the rest of Name Brands costing twice as much. Strongly recommend if considering, but have never heard much about G&L.
Very light and great feeling to hold and play. I love the detail in areas they cutout, to be comfortable. Incredible sustain for this type of guitar and holds it's tuning great for the price and no locking nuts. Even when I am tuning down 1/2 step and back up it holds the note value in the middle on tuner for very long time and almost made me think something was wrong with my plug in tuner. Very nice that way! Love the grey, but pictures only show a black, yet in person you see the flame top!

Have not needed to have any adjustments or set-up yet, which it sounded great out of the box. I may lower action when I put new strings on it next, but that is a preference thing..

Excellent Buy

Comments about G&L Tribute Fiorano GTS Electric Guitar:

I just got the Red Fiorano, which I ordered online and it is even better than I expected. By the way it does come with a very nice gig bag which isn't mentioned above. Right out of the box it was still in tune and the setup was right on. I don't think I'll need to tweak anything on the setup. I am testing it through a Boss ME-70 and it just sounds incredible. The single coil taps work beautifully giving a lot of tonal possibilities. It really is almost like having a Les Paul and a Strat in one. The finish of the guitar is beautiful and it is smaller and lighter than I expected. Pros: - excellent tone - neck is very fast and comfortable - excellent fit and finish - flexible pickup arrangement - low weight, easy to sling around - comes with nice gig bag Cons: None so far Recommendation: Definitely give this serious consideration if you are looking at guitars in the $500 to $1200 price range. I highly recommend it based on my experience thus far.
