Overview

The G&L ASAT Classic is Leo's final word on the traditional single-cutaway bolt-on axe. Flip to the single-coil MFD neck pickup and you'll discover a delectably rich tonal palette, from round clean jazz tones to thick, gritty blues. Put them together and you'll find a whole other level of heaven.

Comments about G&L Tribute ASAT Classic Electric Guitar:

This is simply a great guitar. The G&L asat classic tribute gives me the incredible rich tones, from jazzy warm tones to jangly, twangedelic countrified blues and rock that I love. This guitar sounds fantastic, feels great and has quality workmanship not often found in guitars at twice the price. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for the next step in telecaster evolution.

Excellent guitar for the price. If you are interested in Fender, try a G&L.

      Unbelievable value

      By Jared Deame

      from Rochester, NH

Comments about G&L Tribute ASAT Classic Electric Guitar:

The G&L Tribute series is the best kept secret in the guitar world. I was in the market for a tele style guitar and did research and played guitars for over ten months. I settled on this one because you cannot get more guitar for the money. This thing plays and sounds better than American standard telecasters by a long shot- it's embarrassing for Fender. The Asat classic has MFD single coils that are richer and fuller than most single coils to give a warm and complete sound while retaining the classic chime and sparkle of traditional single coils. You literally cannot beat the value on these guitars. G&L usually flies under the radar which means incredible guitars for not a ton of money. Can't recommend highly enough.

      Outstanding

      By David Grover

      from San Jose, CA

Comments about G&L Tribute ASAT Classic Electric Guitar:

I'm only giving 4 stars because, at three weeks, its difficult to know how outstanding this guitar will be. But its pretty good. Finish is excellent. The fretboard is smooth and fast. Pickups provide a wide range of capabilities without losing sight of the ASAT's origins. One mild warning: There are worries, on the G&L boards, that the ASAT Classic in some incarnations may not be able to handle heavy strings, the sort you might use for slide. My experience with medium strings so far is pretty good, and I'm moving up to heavy strings (12-52) shortly. But otherwise a beautiful, well-built guitar with great sound for about half what you'd pay if you went to Leo's old company.
