Comments about GHS Vintage Bronze 85/15 Acoustic Strings Ultra Light:

I have small hands and I'm getting old, so ultra light strings seem to be my best option in order to keep playing. I expected these to be thin sounding but they actually have a great tone. I have a wood bridge old Kay guitar and I actually like the tone of these strings best even compared to heavier strings. They are bright enough but not plinky. They are a bit less loud than heavier strings, however the heavier strings don't seem as lively and seem a little muddy. Granted I am using a wood bridge which is going to have a different tone than your average acoustic guitar. One other thing I notice about ultralight strings, since there is less tension the arc of the vibrating string is a larger. So you are apt to get buzzing on the open E if you don't raise the action a little. Overall very pleased with the strings, I keep trying other weights and types strings and I keep coming back to these over and over. Since I am putting a pickup in the guitar that should take care of the lesser volume. Hope this review is helpful to someone :-)

            Great sounding strings

            By Kevin Grantham

Comments about GHS Vintage Bronze 85/15 Acoustic Strings Ultra Light:

I tried these strings (10-46's) on my Takamine and I love the sound that I'm getting. Nothing else that I've tried comes close to the full rich sound that I get with these vintage bronze strings. I've played them everyday for a month now and the sound is still as good or better than the day I put them on. I will not buy any other strings for my Tak from now on. I'm gonna try a set on my Ovation now to see how they do.

Comments about GHS Vintage Bronze 85/15 Acoustic Strings Ultra Light:

These are very good acoustic strings. I've had them for almost a month now, and they still sound very good. They sound so much better than phosphor bronze strings, I think I'll be buying these for now on. Buy these strings!

            Great strings

Comments about GHS Vintage Bronze 85/15 Acoustic Strings Ultra Light:

These are by far the best strings I have ever put on my Takamine. You try these you will never mess with phosopher bronze again. A warm, rich, full tone that sounds just like warm syrup. These strings are a dream to play!
