Just what I need

Comments about GHS R+RXL Nickel Rockers Roundwound Extra Light Electric Guitar Strings:

I have been used GHS Boomers strings on my MIJ Vintage '62 Reissue Stratocaster for many years, and I always loved their playability and sound. I recently purchased a 2012 American Standard Stratocaster, and the strings that came with it were - uhm - not very good: stiff and sounded "old". Therefore, it was a no brainer for me to buy GHS strings for my new guitar. Since it has a maple neck, I chose the Nickel Rockers, that are supposed to sound a little warmer than the regular Boomers. To tell you the truth, I am not sure I can hear the difference, but for sure these strings provide all the playability, bendability and great sound I have been accustomed to. To sum up: go with GHS, but buy the regular Boomers for the same quality and lower price.
