Great strings!

By Coren

from Reston, VA

I have been playing guitar for 17 years and have searched through every brand to find the strings I want. These strings are it! They are awesome! They give me the right tone and feel. I play all kinds of music with them, even metal.

great for strat

By Sergio

from Ocala, Florida

Heavier low strings and lighter high strings really complement a 25" scale guitar. That's how Gilmour does 2 step bends. I'll use these for as long as they make them.

If you break a lot of strings because you bend a lot, try these.

By Alexander

from Portland, Oregon

First off, these strings don't just have David's name on them and his face on the package, he actually uses these strings, AND for very good reason. I've been playing DG GHS Blue Strings for about 5 months now and I refuse to play anything else now. It takes longer than most strings to stretch these in, however, once you get them stretched in you can bend all day long, including MONSTER Gilmour bends because these stay in tune incredibly well. That's fine and dandy in itself, however these strings also have incredible tone and feel to them also. If you bend you're strings a lot, especially if you play a lot of Blues, I highly recommend trying these strings. Like me, I don't think you'll play anything else afterwards.

No end to bends...

By Phillip Seaman

from Ventura, Ca.

Smooth touch, so easy to bend, clean clear sound. Your fingers will never get tired using these strings. I have them on my 99 Strat and it made a new guitar out of it... love to play the blues and bend those strings to new notes and tones.

Great buy

By AARON BORGENS

from Fort C, Colo

I have gone through many types of strings over the years but now use GHS strings exclusively. These David Gilmour "Blue set" strings I use on my G&L Legacy (strat type guitar). I love the tone and feel of these strings. They stay in tune very well, last forever and sound amazing. I gig regularly and most strings only lasted me one or two gigs at the most, these last more like a couple of months with daily practice and weekly gigs. These were made for a strat type guitar and I will never use anything else on my G&L. On my Les Paul I use GHS coated boomers 11-50. I am a GHS customer for life!

Work well on my Strat

By Alberto Funaioli

from Midland, MI

As a Dave Gilmour's fan, I am always trying to improve my technique and my guitar. I have been using GHS strings on my MIJ '62 Reissue Stratocaster for many years, but they were the "Custom Light" type (.009-.046). These new strings are still very playable and comfortable, and give my guitar a nice "punch" on the middle frequencies.

The best strings!!

By Eduardo Filho

from Brazil

I love Pink Floyd and solo members. My musical style influence is David Gilmour. He has the best guitars, the best tone, the best solos in my conception. When I bought these strings and put them on my guitar, I just LOVED. The tree first strings are smooth and soft and the tree latest are hard and grave. I don't use other strings pack. RISE AND SHINE

He Might write spacey tunes but ol David shore knows his strings

By Doghouse Riley, his ownself

from Little Rock, Arkansas

I'd been lookin for a new set of gauges for my 339 and my Nitefly Mojo, heck for most all my electrics, when I stumbled (can ya stumble with a mouse?) over these here David Gilmour blues. The gauges looked just about perfect and I'd heard great things about Boomers but really never used em. So I ordered some and guess what? No, really guess what? They ARE just about perfect. Go get ya some. Tell em Doghouse sent ya. Woof.

Excellent Strings

By Daniel

from Spartanburg, SC

I have a Laguna LE322 and a Carvin eletric. I put these strings on the Laguna and I found them to be excellent strings. They keep their tune well, and they've lasted longer than I expected. Recommended!
